1
adv.

easily

2
adv.

comfortably; smoothly; without difficulty; with ease

Built from

From Pali sappāya (“beneficial”), possibly via Middle Khmer សាបាយ (sāpāya, “good; fit; beneficial; wholesome; healthful; pleasant; agreeable; comfortable; at ease”). The Pali is often considered to be from Sanskrit सभेय (sabheya, “decent; well-behaved”), though alternative theories derive it from components tracing back to सं- (saṃ-, “syn-”) + प्र- (pra-, “pro-”) + आ- (ā-, “ad-”). Cognate with Khmer សប្បាយ (sapbaay), Lao ສະບາຍ (sa bāi).
