In Southwestern Tai, cognate with Northern Thai ᨣᩕᩮᩥ᩠᩵ᨦ, Khün ᨤᩧ᩠᩵ᨦ or ᨤᩨ᩠᩵ᨦ, Lao ເຄິ່ງ (khœng) or ເຄີ່ງ (khœ̄ng), Lü ᦆᦹᧂᧈ (xueng¹), Shan ၶိုင်ႈ (khūeng), Tai Nüa ᥑᥫᥒ (xoeng), Ahom 𑜁𑜢𑜤𑜂𑜫 (khüṅ) In Northern Tai, possibly cognate with Zhuang gyang.
